Tiny Tots

At Safe Hands we have three Tiny Tot rooms where the children's age groups are 12-18 months and 18-24 months.

All activities in these rooms are based around the children's own likes and dislikes, and this encourages the children to develop through play.

Most activities which the children will take part in will involve painting activities, printing, collage work and sensory activities.

The sensory activities include gloop play, sand and water play, rice play and jelly play. Again Heuristic play forms part of the child's day, but the room contains more equipment to encourage physical development to help the children become more confident and mobile.

All the activities in these rooms are provided to promote and encourage your child’s development. Again, heuristic play forms and import part of your child’s day. These rooms contain slightly more advanced equipment to encourage physical development and to help the children become more confident and mobile. Circle time also takes place in the tiny tot room where the children have time to relax and listen to stories or sing their favourite songs whilst promoting the children’s social skills

In these rooms the staff work on a one to three ratio.
